About the Rural Municipality of Minto-Odanah
Established on January 1, 2015, the Rural Municipality of Minto-Odanah was formed through the amalgamation of the former R.M. of Minto (est. 1903) and the R.M. of Odanah (est. 1883).
Located in southwestern Manitoba, between the City of Brandon and Riding Mountain National Park, the municipality surrounds the Town of Minnedosa and serves a population of approximately 1,121 residents.
The region is characterized by gently rolling hills, productive farmland, and areas of wetlands that support diverse wildlife. With its agricultural foundation and wide open landscapes, Minto-Odanah offers a peaceful rural setting while remaining connected to nearby communities and services.
